Mix & match: any N products from a set

Any 3 for €60 from a collection: set sizes, set price versus percent, the builder block, and pricing rules.

6 min read

Mix & match lets customers pick any products from a set (a collection, tagged products or a list) and pays a set price or a discount once they reach the set size. Only the total count from the set matters, so different products and variants add up.

Creating one

  1. Offers › Create offer › Mix & match.
  2. Applies to: a collection works best; it keeps following the collection as products are added.
  3. Set sizes: rows of “Any N” with a set price, a percent off or an amount off per set. Sizes must increase. Example: any 3 for €60, any 5 for €90.
  4. Publish. Optionally add the Mix & match block to the collection template (theme editor › Add block › Apps) for a builder with a live counter.

How pricing works

For a set price that is higher than the actual prices of the cheapest items nothing is discounted; the widget still lists the set, so keep set prices realistic.

Common problems

Customers reach 3 items but get no discount.

One of the items is priced by a higher-priority offer (a volume tier or a gift) and is excluded from this set. Reorder the Offers list or narrow the other offer.

The collection has 400 products and some are not counted in the cart bar.

The cart bar counts the first 250 products of each collection. Checkout is not limited: the Function checks collection membership directly.

Tagged products are not counted in the cart bar.

Tags cannot be read in the cart script; the cart bar counts product and collection targets only. Checkout applies the discount correctly.
